Why This Sports Bra Is Different

The Panache Sport Underwired Sports Bra is the benchmark against which other D+ high-impact sports bras are measured — and most don't come close. The reason is its construction principle: individual moulded encapsulation cups with an underwire, functioning like a regular bra but engineered for high-impact activity. This provides a qualitatively different level of support than even the best compression sports bras, which work by flattening tissue against the chest rather than supporting each breast individually.

Independent motion-capture testing has consistently shown the Panache Sport reducing vertical breast displacement by 70-80% during running — significantly better than comparable compression styles and approaching the motion reduction of custom-fitted solutions costing several times the price.

Who It's For

The Panache Sport is the correct choice for: runners and HIIT participants above a D cup who have been unable to find adequate support; women who have avoided high-impact exercise because of discomfort; and anyone who has spent money on compression sports bras that didn't work and wants to try the encapsulation approach. It is not necessary for yoga, walking, or low-impact activity — a softer, lighter sports bra is more comfortable for those contexts. The Panache Sport's value is specifically in high-impact scenarios where the support difference is most significant.

Fit Notes

The Panache Sport requires the same precise fitting as a regular bra — perhaps more so, because the underwire must sit correctly against the ribcage rather than riding up during activity. Fit on the tightest hook: the band should be firm enough that you cannot pull it more than 2 inches from the body. The cups should contain all breast tissue without spillage during the jumping test (jump in place with arms raised). If the wire digs during activity, the cup is likely too small — try sizing up in the cup before abandoning the style. Available D–J.
